The story so far: In the heart of the Bavidirian Empire, nestled between the towering dark forest and the rushing rivers, lay the hamlet of Willowbrook. Once vibrant with life, it now sat shrouded in an unsettling silence, broken only by the mournful cries of crows perched upon crumbling rooftops. Shadows stretched long and dark as if the very earth mourned the loss of its inhabitants.

Tales whispered in the taverns of Nurenhill spoke of a malevolent force at play—bandits snatching villagers under cover of night, demanding ransoms that would never be paid. Others feared dark magic seeping from the ancient woods, a sorcery powerful enough to snuff out lives and dreams. Yet, many believed the true reason lay in despair, as Willowbrook’s once-bustling streets grew eerily empty, its people drawn to the promise of work in the port city.

You, a seasoned Dungeoneer, have answered the call to uncover the truth behind the hamlet's plight. The air crackles with tension as you tread the worn path to Willowbrook, a chill wind carrying the scent of damp earth and decay.
